UV and IR treatments in paints and coatings
We design manufacture in our factory a wide range of equipment for treatments like drying of water-based paints and varnishes by infrared, and ultraviolet polymerization of UV inks and coatings.
Conventional water-based or ‘aqueous’ inks are basically composed of pigments and water. These are dried once the moisture they contain evaporates or is extracted. For this, we have infrared systems or air jet drying equipment. Choosing one or the other method depends on the characteristics of the process.
Otherwise, ultraviolet inks and varnishes are not water-based or solvent-based inks, so they are not dried by air or heat, but polymerize under the irradiation of ultraviolet lamp light or a UV LED system. This procedure produces an immediate cure of very high quality; besides the fact that it does not carry solvents makes it also a greener and cleaner process.
Whether you need to dry conventional inks or coatings using an infrared or hot air system, or if you need to cure by ultraviolet light; we can supply you with the most suitable equipment for this purpose.
